DBA BILBAO PORT EXPANSION PLAN

DBA Bilbao Port presented a EUR 40 mill project to build a new terminal on a 46.000 m² plot in Punta Sollana, adjacent to its current facilities of 22.000 m², for the storage of renewable energy, such as bioethanol, biodiesel hydrobiodiesel and hydrocarbons, which would expand the storage capacity in the port of Bilbao by 500%, to 315,000 cubic meters, with the consequent increase in land and sea traffic.
With the proposed project, the facilities would reach a minimum traffic of more than 900,000 tons per year, and it would allow interconnection through a network of pipelines with other port terminals and would have access to berths for ships of up to 300 meters in length and 100,000 deadweight.
